Enjoy scenic views of valleys, rivers, and pine forests en route. Upon arrival in Sankri, explore the village and surroundings. Overnight stay: Sankri (altitude 6,400 ft).
Activity: Begin your trek from Sankri after breakfast. The trek starts with a gradual ascent through dense pine forests. After a few hours of trekking, reach Juda Ka Talab, a serene, small lake surrounded by pine trees and mountains. Set up camp near the lake and enjoy the evening in the beautiful surroundings. Overnight stay: Campsite at Juda Ka Talab (altitude 9,100 ft).
Activity: Trek from Juda Ka Talab to the Kedarkantha Base Camp, a gradual ascent with excellent views of snow-clad peaks. As you move higher, you’ll pass through open meadows and dense oak and pine forests. Reach Kedarkantha Base Camp, a large open area with stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay: Campsite at Kedarkantha Base Camp (altitude 11,200 ft).
Activity: Begin early morning for the final ascent to the Kedarkantha Summit (12,500 ft). The trek is steep but rewarding, with panoramic views of the Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak ranges. Once at the summit, enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the snow-covered Himalayas. After spending some time at the summit, descend back to the base camp. Overnight stay: Campsite at Kedarkantha Base Camp.
Activity: After breakfast, begin your descent from Kedarkantha Base Camp to Sankri, passing through the picturesque Hargaon village. The trail offers mesmerizing views of the Har Ki Dun Valley and surrounding landscapes. Reach Sankri by late afternoon and relax in the village. Overnight stay: Sankri.
Activity: Early morning departure from Sankri to Dehradun. You can explore Dehradun or nearby places like Mussoorie if time permits. End of trek.
