Drive: Joshimath to Dhak (12 km, 30 minutes). Trek Distance: 6 km. Altitude: 2,800 meters. Trek Time: 4-5 hours. Highlights: Start the trek from Dhak village with a gradual ascent through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests. Trek through villages and terraced fields, with views of the towering peaks of Nanda Devi and Dronagiri. Overnight Stay: Camp at Gulling.
Trek Distance: 5 km. Altitude: 3,350 meters. Trek Time: 4-5 hours. Highlights: The trail passes through dense forests and opens up to stunning mountain views. You’ll camp at Tali, surrounded by forests with magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. Overnight Stay: Camp at Tali.
Trek Distance: 11 km round trip. Altitude: Kuari Pass (3,650 meters). Trek Time: 7-8 hours. Highlights: Trek through alpine meadows and reach the Kuari Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Garhwal Himalayas, including peaks like Chaukhamba, Kamet, Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Dronagiri. Spend some time at the pass, taking in the views and exploring the surroundings before trekking back to Tali. Overnight Stay: Camp at Tali.
Trek Distance: 7 km. Altitude: 2,900 meters (Auli). Trek Time: 5-6 hours. Highlights: Trek through Gurson Bugyal, a wide, expansive meadow with panoramic views. Descend to Auli, a famous skiing destination. From Auli, drive back to Joshimath (10 km). Overnight Stay: Guesthouse/hotel in Joshimath.
