Hampta Pass Trek

Hamta Pass Trek takes us over the majestic foothills of the Himalaya, the Pir Pangal Range, crossing at Hamta Pass (4,268 m) to reach remote Lahaul. An isolated district of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul lies amongst the Himalaya peaks. This was traditional alternative route between Lahaul and Kullu Valley before the road was made over Rohtang Pass.

Day 01: Delhi - Manali - Hampta Pass Trek

Half day sight seeing at Delhi and by evening drive to Manali by Bus or Cab. Overnight journey.

Day 02: Manali - Hampta Pass Trek

Arrival at Manali by morning. On arrival transfer to hotel for relax. After leisure visit Hadimba Devi temple, old Manali, Tibetan Monastery and the Mall road. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Manali - Pandu Ropa 4 hrs - Hampta Pass Trek

We drive to Prini and then from Prini we reach Pando Ropa, 4 hours trek which goes steeply along side of Hamta Nala through forest. Overnight in camp.

Day 04: Pandu Ropa - Chikka - Hampta Pass Trek

Gradual up trek passes through forest and meadow up to Chikka camp, and ideal site with water and firewood. Overnight in tents.

Day 05: Chikka - Balu Ka Gera - Hampta Pass Trek

We trek uphill, a steep climb, to Juara and then gradual climb up to the camp site at Balu Ka Gera. Overnight in tents.

Day 06: Balu Ka Gera - Hamta Pass - Hampta Pass Trek

Steep ascent up to Hamta Pass for 3 kms and then descent on the other side in steep slope up to Camp Site. Mt. Deo Tibba and Indrasan are visible along with a wide view of the Lahaul Valley.

Day 07: Hamta Pass – Chattru - Hampta Pass Trek

On the 7th day of Hamta Pass Trek, we make a steep descent up to Chattru Camp site. Overnight in camp.

Day 08: Chattru – Solang - Hampta Pass Trek

The Hamta Pass Trek continues and we reach Solang from Chattru. Overnight in camp.

Day 09: Solang - Manali – Delhi - Hampta Pass Trek

In the morning after breakfast drive to Manali and visit Hadimba Devi temple, old Manali and Vashisth Village (hot water spring). In the evening drive to Delhi by Bus or Cab Overnight journey.
