Sundarbans National Park

Sundarbans tiger tour is the tour of Sundarbans national park with the panoramic beauty of tiger and other wildlife animals. To one side of the world’s biggest delta created by the running rivers of Ganga, Brahmaputra and Meghna, the Sundarbans national park is a huge territory of woodland and saltwater fen at about 160 miles beside the Bay of Bengal. Being scattered from the Hooghly River Estuary in West Bengal to the Meghna River Estuary in Bangladesh area, Sundarbans tiger tour is famous for the major estuarine sanctuary in the earth, and home of India’s most wonderful flora and fauna species.

Sundarbans, also famous for the Sundari trees, has a wide variety of royal Bengal tigers. During Sundarbans tiger tour, we watch here wild animals including spotted deer, herons, white bellied eagles, kingfishers, monkeys, wild pigs and more then 270 Royal Bengal tigers besides it, Sundarbans national park offers their visitors the little glimpse of rare Olive Ridley sea turtle, Hawk's Bill Turtle, Green Turtle, hard-shelled Batgur Terrapin, Pythons, King cobra, Chequered killback, Monitor, Estuarine Crocodile and many more for pleasure in Sundarbans tiger tour.

Itinerary:

Day 1 :- Kolkatta - Basanti Port - Sundarbans National Park

In the morning drive from Kolkatta to Basanti port by car (3 hrs), passing through the picturesque countryside of Bengal. Start boat launch from Gosaba. A short ride by local rickshaw will take you to the entrance of the Sundarbans forest. In the afternoon visit to the forest museum & watch different species residing in the mangrove world of the Sunderbans. Evening at leisure. Overnight at lodge.

Day 2 :- Sunderbans National Park

In the morning after breakfast visit the Sundarbans forest and enjoy a full day cruise by boat through the creeks of the dense forest. Visit Pakhiralya, Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, Netidhopani Watch Tower & also other points of the Sundarbans forest. Enjoy an entertaining evening of special local religious / Kolkatta song “Banbibi Pala”. Dinner and night halt at forest lodge.

Day 3 :- Sunderbans National Park - Basanti Port - Kolkatta

Early morning visit to the local village Rangabelia related with Tagore society for rural development project. After having lunch, transfer for Kolkata.Upon arrival at Kolkatta transferred to onward destination.
